2009 Club Scholarship Program Information
The Erin Mills Soccer Club will offer a Scholarship Award to a Male and Female Club member who has contributed to the success of the Erin Mills soccer programs
The purpose of the Awards is to invest in the youth of our community and in the development of the whole player.
TWO SCHOLARSHIPS OF $1,000 EACH WILL BE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO ONE MALE AND ONE FEMALE
CLUB MEMBER PRIOR TO ENTERING A POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION (COMMUNITY COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, OR CEGEP IN CANADA OR ELSEWHERE FOR THE FIRST TIME.
The Scholarship is open to any EMSC member in good standing entering a post secondary institution in 2008. Individuals already attending a post secondary institution are not eligible
Applicants will have:
- Contributed to the success of the Erin Mills Soccer Club programs (Players, Coaches, Staff, Referees)
- Participated in EMSC programs at any level or in any area for a minimum of three consecutive years and is currently an active participant
- Demonstrated leadership and volunteer participation in community activities in either soccer or other activities
- Demonstrated the principles of Fair Play throughout their participation
APPLICANTS MAY BE NOMINATED BY THEIR TEAM OR BY 2 MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF THE ERIN MILLS SOCCCER CLUB.

SELECTION COMMITTEE TO RECEIVE APPLICATIONS BY AUGUST 28TH 2009.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE INFORMED BY SEPTEMBER 25TH.
CHEQUES WILL BE PAYABLE TO THE INSTITUTION.
NO CANDIDATE MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE CLUB.
NAMES OF AWARD WINNERS WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE CLUB.
FINALISTS MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SHORT PRESENTATION TO THE SELECTION COMMITTEE.
