$750 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2009

Open to any EMSC player, referee or coach in any year post secondary institution in Canada!!!!!

The Erin Mills Soccer Club, in partnership with Genesis Massage Therapy Centre, www.genesismassage.ca, will offer a Scholarship Award to one Male and one Female Club member who have contributed to the success of the Erin Mills soccer programs and the community at large.

The purpose of the Awards is to invest in the youth of our community and in the development of the whole player and person.

Scholarships of $750.00 each will be awarded annually to one male and one female Club member, entering or currently enrolled in a Canadian post secondary institution (Community College, University, or CEGEP).

The Scholarship is open to any present EMSC member entering or currently enrolled in 2009.

Selection Criteria includes….

• Contributions to the success of the Erin Mills Soccer Club programs through active team play and attendance of scheduled games.
• Participation in EMSC programs at any level or in any area for a minimum of three consecutive years.
• Demonstrated leadership and volunteer participation in community activities in either soccer or other activities which benefit the community at large.
• Maintaining a passing grade average in the year prior to the application.
• 2 Letters of Reference from either EMSC Members in Good Standing or other relevant individuals in the community

2. SELECTION COMMITTEE TO RECEIVE APPLICATIONS BY Sept 28^th, 2009.
3. SUCCESFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE INFORMED BY October 15^th, 2009.
4. CHEQUES WILL BE PAYABLE TO THE SELECTED INDIVIDUALS.
5. NO CANDIDATE MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE CLUB.
6. NAMES OF AWARD WINNERS WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE CLUB.
7. FINALISTS MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SHORT PRESENTATION TO THE SELECTION COMMITTEE.
