Erin Mills Soccer Club (EMSC) wants to congratulate our Boys 2005, Girls 2006 Green and Girls 2009 Green for competing in the Ontario Cup finals. Ontario Cup is the provincial soccer championship for our competitive teams.
The Boys 2005 began our series of three games against Glen Shields Juventus FC. The team had many great goal-scoring opportunities but the game ended as a tie after regulation time. During the penalty kicks our players did amazing but weren't able to cinch the win, with the final score 6-5 for Glen Shields.
The second final was our Girls 2009 Green. This was the team's first year playing at the competitive level and they put a strong game against the Guelph Jr. Gryphons Red team. The Guelph team won 5-2 against our Eagles.
The final Ontario Cup game was our Girls 2006 Green against Etobicoke Youth Soccer Club Energy. The team was eager to win, after winning both the Ontario Indoor Cup and Ontario Futsal Cup earlier this year. The team was able to secure the win for the Ontario Cup with a score of 9-1.
We are so proud of the teams for making the Ontario Cup Finals. It was great to see three of our teams in the finals this year! Thank you to all the coaches and managers for all their hard work this year.
Please join us in celebrating our teams. Go Eagles Go!
